Do you have a dinner party coming up? Or do you just want to impress that special someone with your cooking skills? If that's the case then this recipe is exactly what you're looking for! It's actually pretty easy to make, but looks over the top and regardless to say, tastes delicious!

Ingredients
2 cups (500 g) tagliatelle
200 g shrimp, peeled
1/2 an onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
3 tbsp (45 g) butter
3 tbsp (45 g) all purpose flour
1/4 cup white wine
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
2 tbsp (30 g) parsley, finely chopped
Grated parmesan cheese for serving
Method
Fill a large pot with water, add a generous pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Then, reduce the heat, add the tagliatelle and cook from 10 to 12 minutes or until they are al dente.
Drain and return them to the empty pot. Sprinkle with olive oil so they don't stick and set aside.
In a medium-sized pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil.
Add the minced garlic, shrimp, salt and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turns pink. This takes from 5 to 6 minutes.
In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Finely chop the onion and cook until it's translucent. Then, add the minced garlic and let it cook for a minute.
Stir in the flour. Then, pour the white wine and whisk until it's fully incorporated.
Add the chicken broth and stir constantly until the sauce thickens.
Whisk in the sour cream, then add salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce pot and mix until combined.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and grated parmesan cheese and enjoy!
